Focus On Art series continues…
Currently, the Focus On Art series is featuring three talented artists:
Yvonne Andrews, Sandra Lawrence and Billie Seales. A collection of their beautiful watercolors is on display in the main lobby of Walker Baptist Medical Center. Each of these artists are members of the Walker County Arts Alliance. Do stop by and see the ever-changing displays.

From mid-September through October, the works of two remarkable photographers were on display in the lobby of Walker Baptist Medical Center. Karla Burton Photography (LLC) and Ryan McGill, proprietor of TRM Photo Studio, were are featured. And, the display was highlighted on the front page of the Daily Mountain Eagle! |

This summer, the Arts Alliance hosted a wine & cheese reception to preview the VSA AL Traveling Art Exhibit. For the second year, partnering with Walker Baptist Medical Center, to sponsor this 50-piece exhibit featured in the hospital lobby from June through mid-August.
The traveling exhibit featured artwork by people with disabilities from two of VSA Arts of Alabama’s signature exhibitions: Creativity – Art in the Magic City, a statewide juried art exhibit that celebrates work by adult artists with disabilities, and Creative Fest, an inclusive exhibit displayed in Children’s Hospital of Alabama comprised of work by school age children from across the state.
By invitation, Arts Alliance supporters and board members enjoyed the opening VSA reception held at The Bankhead House. It was an opportunity to meet some of the VSA participating artists, and a chance to enjoy acustic guitar performed by the talented Richie Hall.
